Notice is hereby given that a quorum of the Corona Public Schools Board of Education may be present at the following event:

Event: CPS Strategic Planning Meeting
Date: Wednesday, September 24, 2025
Time: 4:30PM to 7:30PM
Location: CPS Auditorium

This is not a regular or special meeting of the Board, and no board business will be discussed, deliberated, or acted upon. The purpose of this notice is to comply with the New Mexico Open Meetings Act and to inform the public that a quorum of the Board may be present.

Dear Parents: It has come to our attention that due to a glitch in the system at Clovis Community College, bills were sent out to students who took classes last year. Please disregard these notices. Those fees have already been taken care of. If you have any questions, please contact Amanda Dunlap at the school.

EARLY RELEASE ANNOUNCEMENT: On September 24, 2025, Corona Public Schools will be releasing at 2:45 PM for a Strategic Planning Session with the Faculty and Staff. Please make sure your rides are hear on time to pick up your child and the buses will be running early on the release date.

Today in PE, students honored our fireman and first responders of 9/11 by doing 110 of everything to represent the 110 floors of the Twin Towers. The kids worked so hard and were so proud.

Attention Parents/Guardians: Q1 Progress Reports will be sent home with students today.

Varsity VB Schedule Updates: Because of students attending National FFA Convention Indianapolis, the following contests have been rescheduled:

Hondo, Oct 28 has been moved to Sep 30 at home 5PM start
Carrizozo, Oct. 30 has been moved to Oct 10 at Zozo 1PM start

Also, Middle School VB has added the Magdalena Tournament on Oct 4 with times to be announce once the playing bracket is released.

Several MS VB contests may be dropped with schools because of lack of players but those decisions will not be made until closer to the events.

VB Announcement: Because of lack of player availability, Friday's HOME contest v. Roy/Mosquero on 9/12 will be cancelled and the girls will not be competing int he tournament in Menaul on Saturday, 9/13.

Corona Elementary students have been learning about different careers with the help of some of our amazing community members. We have been introduced to the wind tech field and what it means to be a nurse. They are enjoying the chance to get to know more about these jobs.

Corona's 8th-grade students in Mrs. Zook's science class performed chemical compound flame tests to explore chemical bonding and the periodic table.

📢 Reminder for Elementary Parents Student drop-off time is 7:45 a.m. Please do not drop students off earlier than 7:45, as teachers are not on duty and the playground is not supervised until that time. We appreciate your help in keeping all of our students safe by ensuring they arrive during the designated drop-off window. Thank you for your support and cooperation!

Attention Parents: Looking forward to everyone attending our Open House tomorrow night, July 30, 2025 at Corona Public Schools.
