JH VB has added an away contest at Carrizozo on Friday, October 25 at 10AM. This is a reschedule from an earlier date so we could play the Varsity match on September 30.

Thursday, October 17 is Parent/Teacher Conferences for Corona Public Schools. Conferences will run from 8:30 to 3:30 with a 30 minute break for lunch around noon, depending on teacher schedules. This is a non-student day. Please contact your student's teacher to schedule an appointment if the teacher has not already scheduled a meeting. Thanks and have a great day.

REMINDER : This Friday, October 11, 2024, is a Virtual Learning Day/Professional Development Day for Staff. Staff will be on campus from 8AM to 12PM for office hours and PD activities for the day. Have a great rest of your week.

NOTICE OF REVISED AGENDA: A revised copy of the Board Agenda, regarding Board Policy Review, is posted as the policies being reviewed are under Section C, not Section A. Picture Day at Corona Schools will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Reminder to parents that packets will need to be brought the day of pictures. Look forward to everyone looking their best on Picture Day at Corona.

Tuesday night's VB at Mountainair will be Varsity only starting at 5PM. The JH match has been postponed so the Varsity match can be played.

Tonight's game at Wagon Mound has been cancelled due to extenuating circumstances. The game will try to be rescheduled at a later date.

Tomorrow's VB game v. Wagon Mound has been moved to 5PM to accommodate officials for the contest. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Girls MS VB Monday at Carrizozo is being postponed so the Varsity match can be played. Varsity match will start at 5 PM at Carrizozo.

REMINDER: September 18 is an early release day for the students. School will be dismissed at 1:00PM. Please be aware of the changes for student pick up and bus runs.

BOARD MEETING NOTICE--RESCHEDULE: Due to a lack of quorum because of Board member commitments to State Fair, the Board meeting will be rescheduled to a future date for the month of September. VB GAME POSTPONEMENT: Saturday's Game at Cimarron on Sep 7 is being postponed due to a conflict with State Fair and not having enough players to field a competitive team due to other circumstances. A date has not been set yet for make up but will be communicated if an alternative date can be set. Thank you for your understanding of this situation.

OPEN HOUSE-Thursday, August 29 for Corona Elementary-Corona Public Schools is holding an informal Open House from 4:00 -5:00 PM on Thursday for any parent/guardian who want to meet with the teachers or their elementary students. We strongly encourage new students to have a parent/guardian attend so you can meet the teacher as well as hear the good things that are going on with our schools. Also, Mr. Clough and Mrs. Dunlap will be sharing some exciting news with parents/guardians on some future endeavors for the schools and how you can be a part of it. Events will kick off at 4:00 PM in the POD classroom. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Thursday.

A reminder to parents/guardians that Wednesday, August 28 is an early release day. Students will be released at 1PM for staff in-service to be provided. starting at 1:15 or as soon as all buses and students have been picked up. Thanks and have a great week!

JHVB Schedule Update: The JHVB team has added 3 contests to their schedule for this year and new schedules for Varsity and Middle School have been uploaded to the DOCUMENTS section of the website. The MS will be playing at Vaughn on 9/9 at 4PM and Vaughn will be playing at Corona on 9/16 at 4PM. Also, the MS will be competing in the Magdalena Tournament on 9/28 with game times to be announced. Let's Go Cardinals!

VB SCHEDULE UPDATE: The VB game scheduled with Monte del Sol on 8/27 has a game time change to 4:30PM. Also, the location will be at Christian Life Church at 121 Siringo Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87505. Go Lady Cardinals!

BOARD MEMBER VACANCY: Corona Public Schools is seeking to fill a vacancy Board position based upon the resignation of a Board member. Person must be must be a qualified elector of New Mexico, a resident of the district they represent, and the position will be filled in accordance with New Mexico state statutes. Any interested individual should submit a resume and cover letter outlining their experiences and why they are qualified and desire to serve on the Board of Education.
