📅 Date: Wednesday, March 4

SB9 funding helps ensure our facilities remain safe, clean, and well-maintained for students, staff, and the community. We encourage all residents to attend, learn more, and participate in the conversation.

We look forward to seeing you there.
February is dedicated to raising awareness about heart health. Strong hearts start with healthy habits — and it’s never too early to begin.
Families can support heart health by:
✔ Taking a walk together
✔ Preparing heart-healthy meals
✔ Limiting screen time
✔ Encouraging daily physical activity
✔ Talking about the importance of wellness
Our school is proud to support student wellness through physical education, nutritious meal options, and encouraging active lifestyles.
Small daily choices make a big difference. Let’s keep our hearts strong — together!

Due to high winds, school will be released today at 1:30 PM. Buses will run at that time to ensure students get home safely.
Please make any necessary arrangements to have your child picked up or received at home.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
The Carrizozo Junior High basketball game will be played in Carrizozo tonight at 4:30 PM.
Good luck to our team—hope to see you there!

Corona Public Schools would like to remind students, parents, and community members of the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) Two-Strike Policy, which applies to all NMAA-sanctioned athletic and activity events.
Under the Two-Strike Policy:
A “strike” is issued when a student-athlete or coach is ejected from a contest or receives a qualifying disciplinary action as defined by NMAA.
First Strike: Results in disciplinary consequences as determined by NMAA and the school, which may include suspension from contests.
Second Strike: Results in suspension for the remainder of the season for that sport or activity.
This policy is in place to promote sportsmanship, safety, and respectful behavior at all NMAA events. Unsportsmanlike conduct, inappropriate language, or actions toward officials, opponents, teammates, or spectators may result in an ejection and a strike.
We encourage all students, coaches, parents, and spectators to model positive behavior and support our athletes in a respectful manner. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and sportsmanlike environment for everyone.
For additional details, please refer to the NMAA Handbook or contact the school administration.
Your CHS Cheer Squad's Valentine's Day Fundraiser: Crush Soda Sales has started!! $1.00 per Crush Gram! A fun way to send a Valentine's greeting!! Elementary families look for a bundle with instructions. Middle & High School students can come by Mrs. Pounds' room to buy their gram. If you have questions, reach out to a cheerleader or Mrs. Pounds. Would you like to send one to your kiddo(s)? There are extra grams in the Elementary office or stop by Mrs. Pounds' room in the high school.
Thanks!!

Corona Public Schools would like to remind families that student-athletes are not responsible for supervising younger siblings during sports practices.
Younger siblings who remain on campus after school must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian. Coaches are responsible for supervising student-athletes participating in their specific sport and are not responsible for the care or supervision of siblings who are not part of the practice.
To ensure the safety of all students, we ask that families make appropriate arrangements for younger children after school hours.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our students safe.
ATTENTION!!!!
