Tonight's game at Wagon Mound has been cancelled due to extenuating circumstances. The game will try to be rescheduled at a later date.

VB GAME POSTPONEMENT: Saturday's Game at Cimarron on Sep 7 is being postponed due to a conflict with State Fair and not having enough players to field a competitive team due to other circumstances. A date has not been set yet for make up but will be communicated if an alternative date can be set.

OPEN HOUSE-Thursday, August 29 for Corona Elementary-Corona Public Schools is holding an informal Open House from 4:00 -5:00 PM on Thursday for any parent/guardian who want to meet with the teachers or their elementary students. We strongly encourage new students to have a parent/guardian attend so you can meet the teacher as well as hear the good things that are going on with our schools.
Also, Mr. Clough and Mrs. Dunlap will be sharing some exciting news with parents/guardians on some future endeavors for the schools and how you can be a part of it. Events will kick off at 4:00 PM in the POD classroom.

A reminder to parents/guardians that Wednesday, August 28 is an early release day. Students will be released at 1PM for staff in-service to be provided. starting at 1:15 or as soon as all buses and students have been picked up.

JHVB Schedule Update: The JHVB team has added 3 contests to their schedule for this year and new schedules for Varsity and Middle School have been uploaded to the DOCUMENTS section of the website. The MS will be playing at Vaughn on 9/9 at 4PM and Vaughn will be playing at Corona on 9/16 at 4PM. Also, the MS will be competing in the Magdalena Tournament on 9/28 with game times to be announced.

BOARD MEMBER VACANCY: Corona Public Schools is seeking to fill a vacancy Board position based upon the resignation of a Board member. Person must be must be a qualified elector of New Mexico, a resident of the district they represent, and the position will be filled in accordance with New Mexico state statutes. Game times for the Tucumcari Volleyball Tournament have been announced. Your Lady Cardinals will play Grady at 10:40, Tucumcari at 11:20 and Floyd at 1:20 in pool play. Bracket play will start at 3:00PM with opponents and times to be determined. Saturday game times are based on what happens in Friday bracket play and will be posted as soon as we know.

Because of availability of officials, the Varsity Girls Volleyball game at Des Moines will be played at 2PM at Des Moines High School.
Anyone interested in becoming a substitute for the district as a teacher, secretary or custodian, a Substitute Workshop will be held at Corona High School in the Board Room on Monday, August 19 at 9:30AM. Persons interested will go through training and complete the necessary paperwork in becoming a substitute.
