This is Makayla Eldridge’s very first year teaching! She coached college basketball at a junior college in Missouri and Angelo State. Makayla attended and played basketball at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. Although she never thought she would do anything other than coach college basketball, she received her degree in history. 

Makayla loves to introduce students to new and enjoyable things, and that eventually led her to her passion for teaching history and coaching P.E. In addition to basketball and teaching, she loves her family. She is married to Teke Eldrige, and together they have three children. She also truly loves Jesus, and her favorite quote is actually the Bible verse 1 Timothy 4:12: “Never let your age keep you from being an example”.
